A TRUE CHAMPION FOR WORKING FAMILIES AND PUBLIC EDUCATION
Chris Johnson is a 33-year-old advocate and community leader focused on strengthening public education and fighting for working families. He was born and raised in the Yorktown neighborhood of North Philadelphia and now proudly lives in Mt. Airy. Chris is running to serve his neighbors in Mt. Airy, West Oak Lane, Chestnut Hill, and Blue Bell Hill in Pennsylvania’s 200th Legislative District.
CHRIS JOHNSON:
ON THE ISSUES

INVEST IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Every child in Pennsylvania deserves a safe, modern, and fully funded public school — no matter their ZIP code. For decades, underfunding has left too many schools in disrepair and too many students behind. Strong schools build strong communities.

PUBLIC TRANSIT & INFRASTRUCTURE
Public transit is not optional — it’s essential.
From riding the 57 Bus and Broad Street Subway as a student to commuting on the Chestnut Hill West Line today, Chris understands how vital SEPTA and transit systems are to working families.

ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE
Clean air and clean water are constitutional rights in Pennsylvania — and moral obligations.
Too many communities in Philadelphia face higher exposure to pollution and its health impacts.

MAKE PA MORE AFFORDABLE
If you work full-time, you should be able to support yourself and your family with dignity. Chris will fight to finally raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania to a livable wage.
